Aberfeldy 12YO MADEIRA CASK SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY 700ml

This expression takes Aberfeldy's flagship 12 Year Old character and finishes it in Madeira casks - a different route from the brand's more common Oloroso sherry-finished releases (including their own 16 Year Old). The Madeira finish leans the whisky toward oxidised dried fruit and caramel rather than the darker sherry-driven fruitcake notes typical of the standard range.

Expect sweet fruit - apricot and pear - alongside honey and hints of bruised apple on the nose, moving into hazelnut, vanilla, and buttery toffee. The palate is light and sweet, with raisins and berries developing into caramel, milk chocolate, and a touch of nuttiness. The finish is relatively short, with a little wood spice and clove.

Serving suggestion: Its lighter, sweeter profile makes it an easy entry point for drinkers new to single malts, or a change of pace alongside Aberfeldy's sherry-finished expressions. Best enjoyed neat or with a small splash of water.
