Sazerac Rye 6 Year Old Straight Whiskey 700mL

Sazerac Rye is a straight rye whiskey produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, and aged for around 6 years in new charred American oak barrels. Known among whiskey drinkers as "Baby Saz" for its connection to the rare Sazerac 18 Year, it's built on a low-rye mash bill (widely reported at roughly 51% rye, with corn and malted barley) that gives it a softer, sweeter character than most high-rye whiskeys.

Expect vanilla, honey, and baking spice up front, with baked bread, citrus, and a touch of pepper developing through the palate. The finish is smooth and lingering rather than hot, making it approachable for rye newcomers while still holding enough spice for cocktail use.

Serving suggestion: Excellent neat or on the rocks, and a classic choice for a Sazerac, Old Fashioned, or Manhattan.
